It seems BPO-KPO-Outsourcing jobs are raining in India. Everyone is busy predicting hunky dory estimates and media is busy publishing these feel good news as daily dose.
Evalueserve has completed a study on India's KPO (Knowledge Process Outsourcing) sector and is stating that the industry will grow “to $US 11.2 billion in revenue by 2011 and is expected to employ approximately 255,000 professionals by March 2011, according to a study by Evalueserve. Among low-cost destinations, India will become the hub for providing research and analytics services. Today, the most significant barrier to growth is attrition among young professionals.”
The latest news on Evalueserve states that the company to minimize dependency on India will set up KPO centers in Eastern Europe.
The KPO outfit would also go for a public issue in 2009 with UK so far the leading contender for the listing. Evalueserve has centres in India, China and Chile. About 1,900 of its 2,100 employees are currently based in India. The China centre caters mainly to China, Japan and Korea while Chile gives it the advantage of the same time zone as the US. The Eastern Europe centre would come up next year. Source
