Growth of outsourcing in Europe finds a center stage in UK. Organizations from UK are contributing 28 (=36%) of the 84 deals being materialized in the 2nd quarter of 2007. There may unconfirmed reports that US outsourcing was sluggish last quarter, but in Europe major outsourcing contracts during this time were valued at a total of €5.4bn (£3.8bn), which shows an gain of €1bn (£698m) over the same number of projects being materialized the same quarter previous year, according to analyst
Forrester Research.
Contracts with more than one service offerings have also increased. Compared to last year's 52%, this year 63% contracts included service bundles.
Infrastructure services are considered as one of the hottest areas and being featured in 45 per cent of the deals recorded by Forrester.
