JK Tyre outsourcing to China

JK Tyres, a tyre manufacturer from India plans to outsource some operations to Chinese manufacturers. Hindu Business Line reports that the company, is already having outsourcing contracts with five or six Chinese partners and as per the plan JK brand intends to increase its outsourcing activity in China by another 10 per cent.

This policy is a conscious effort from the group to expand in Chinese and other Asian markets. Quoting JK Tyre vice chairman and managing director Raghupati Singhania, “We are looking atJK-tyre-outsourcing-China strategic partners in South East Asia or China to serve the local market in those countries as well as overseas markets. Though the China business is miniscule currently, we are looking to expand it.”.
