
Kenya will host third African Outsourcing and Contact Centre in Nairobi from November 27 to 28 informs The Standard.
The conference, organized by Africa IT Exhibitions and Conferences (AITEC) together with InSync Limited, aims to provide a business networking opportunity platform for players in the region’s outsourcing industry.
The event also aims to provide an opportunity for international companies looking for outsourced services to meet operators in the region’s emerging outsource destination. Local players will in turn learn more about international trends, best practices as well as business opportunities available.
The government also spread its helping hand to spruce up the outsourcing sector. Call centers in Kenya will receive government subsidies. Kenya has one of the highest bandwidth rates in the world. The government is spending Sh630 million (Local currency) to bring down the bandwidth costs.
