What outsourcing or service industry has to do with ecofriendliness? If I am not wrong, probably service industry compared to manufacturing evokes less pollution and thus less wasteful. Still, I feel that more than genuineness, it can be a ply to market their service to the world. After all, no country would discourage manufacturing because it is harmful to the world. I mean, you can always take precautionary measures.
China's move to gradually reduce barriers to foreign investments in the service business is part of a broader strategy to go for more eco-friendly and less wasteful "quality investment," the Xinhua news agency said.
"The point (of the transformation) is to absorb advanced technologies and management skills from foreign countries," said Zhang Mao, vice minister of the National Development and Reform Commission.
