
It may seem like setting up a customer service call center in Massachusetts is more expensive than Bangalore or Buffalo, but Comcast management think tank feels even the escalated money spent actually worth the cause.
Comcast has decided to open a call center in Plymouth, The center will employ 330 people. The cable giant which has as many as five centers in Massachusetts and nine in New England feels that investment in local call centers make sense. 
Who knows, Comcast may use the data in its promotional campaign also. Something like, serviced in US only or we dont outsource jobs. Call customer care XXXXXX.
The 46,000-square-foot facility at 35 Resnik Road in Plymouth will eventually house 330 Comcast employees and has already begun receiving customer calls.
‘‘We want local Comcast customers to speak to local Comcast employees,’’ said Tom Coughlin, vice president of the company’s Southeastern Massachusetts region and the master of ceremonies for an event on Wednesday to mark the new call center. News
