What is Cyber Monday?

In the United States of America, the traditional shopping season begins with Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. Way from brick and mortar, the online shopping season starts on Cyber Monday.  Cyber Monday, the day people get back to their workstation and start shopping online.  

Cyber Monday Business Worth

According to ComScore Network estimate, Cyber Monday sales 2007-11-16 will surpass $700 million, a record one day account. The Virginia company said Cyber Sales on Monday partly based its Cyber shopping estimate on online sales patterns between Nov. 1 and Nov. 23; during that period, online shoppers shelled out $9.3 billion, or 17 percent more than they did during the comparable period last year.

However, looking from another angle, this year's cybershopping growth figures is representing a slowdown from last year, when cyber shopping during Black Friday rose 42% from the previous year. Cyber Monday saw an increase of 26% in online shopping last year, according to comScore data.
