There are reports and predictions on
India’s uprising in outsourcing arena from all the big research and survey and consulting companies of the world but the rosy expectations may not be able to touch the numbers due to dearth of skilled and experienced professionals
India’s industry body Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India have prepared a report and state that India’s KPO opportunity as compared to projected $ 15 billion will only be able to fetch $10 billion by 2012. The report says that this would happen broadly because of shortage of skilled and
experienced professionals. The report also blames absence of sufficient educational institutions providing KPO capability.
India is also facing competition from countries like Russia , Philippines, China , Poland , and Hungary.
Indian Rupee appreciation against the US Dollar has also added challenges for the KPO industry.
