India is the reigning queen in the outsourcing world, be it BPO, call center, or software application, KPO, LPO, India has over the years (to be specific in the last eight ten years) has created a niche for itself. There are many countries that are trying to follow the India model, some are getting successful, some are not, but one country that has really really carved its niche is Philippines

 

Now the question arises, can Philippines beat India in the game?

The answer is no. Why?

Simply because by sheer scale India is much much bigger than Philippines. There are at least 20-25 centers in India where a call center or outsourcing center can be put up without instantly, but with Philippines, their development is more or less restricted in Manila Metro and Cebu. (I am not sure, if newer places are being put up by the Philippines government which is extremely supportive to the cause, if anyone has any update please let me know at krissy@)bpotiger.com)

India also has a larger pool of talents than Philippines.
