
Oscar-winning Hollywood star Russell Crowe, owner of South Sydney Rugby League Club will outsource a franchise in the recently launched Indian Premier League Cricket Competition (IPL). An unorthodox sports investment, many feel, South plans to get in superstars like Brett Lee and Ricky Ponting playing for the Rabbitohs cricket team in Mumbai. Russel Crow is cousin of former New Zealand captains, Martin and Jeff Crowe. So, unlike many in the West, Russel must hav
e some knowledge about how big the game of cricket is India and how bigger it is going to become.
IPL has also signed Australian players like Glenn McGrath and Shane Warne, Andrew Symonds and Mike Hussey.
