How they met

Salman met Katrina, a wannabe Bollywood star in a London party and got hooked to her instantly. Both gelled very well, media went berserk with the new sensational couple and Salman, being a golden hearted guy launched her lady love in his home production, Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? Technically, though Katrina briefly (both costume wise and roll wise) appeared in a super flop movie called, Boom starring Amitabh Bachchan along with (see images below). Before she got disappeared from the Bollywood filmdom, Katz got Salman as an anchor to her life. Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? become a smash hit in the box office and Katrina got a new lease of life.

Katrina became successful without Salman

After Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya? Katrina delivered two back to back hit with Akshay Kumar. Humko Deewana Kar Gaye and Namsate London cemented Katrina's foothold in the industry. And Namste London being a women centric movie, Katz received all the accolades from the critics and masses.

Helen accompanied Katrina during overseas shoots

During shooting of both these movies, Helen accompanied Katrina the way Karisma Kappor's mom Bobita accompanied her daugher. Katrina becomes a part of Khan family. Salman-Katrina jodi becomes a hot proposition in the industry. Both looked great and visibly shared a great bonding.

Katrina started to change?

The ever smiling goddess like Katrina started to change. When asked by media whether she got film assignments because Salman refers him to producers she told media, “Don't be stupid, Salman did not get me Subhash Ghai's film” (What she tried to mean probably is she got those projects on her merit and not because of Salman.)

Salman-Katrina rift visible by now

Salman being extremely moody leads his life with his own style. He has set of friends with whom he works. During last year's Rockstar concert Salman did not go all well with Shahid Kapoor. Shahid was then dating Kareena Kappor and the jodi completely overlooked Salman during the show. Along with John Abraham, Kareena-Shahid also kept distance from Khan.

Now reports came that Katrina has signed a Rajkumar Santoshi film with Shahid Kapoor. Salman does not like this. Katrina also did not consult with Salman for the project. Neither she informed him even. That did not go all well with Salman.

Salman also did not like the fact that Katrina for 'Singh is King' with Akshay Kumar went to Australia for a month long outdoor shoot without informing him. This time also Katrina did not inform Salman or his family about the outdoor shoot.

Has Katrina changed with success?

We still remember how Katrina supported Salman during his jail stint in Jodhpur. With success probably the situation has changed. Katrina herself takes her decision these days. Earlier she used to consult Salman for all her film projects. Salman's close friend feel that Salman has never told Katrina not to do a project irrespective of who else is acting in the film. But Katrina's this high handedness must have hurt him.
