Turn your back to Mac this week. Apple after storming the market with iPhone in 2007 and continue breaking all sales record with iPod line, will come back to its core root this year: computers.
This Tuesday, at the Macworld conference in San Francisco Apple is expected to unveil a subcompact notebook computer.
Blogs and fan sites are abuzz with excitement. Many believe the notebook computer will be a 50% thinner than the existing Mac laptops. The notebook also may done without the traditional hard drive, it would instead have a built in flash memory, which would make it ultra small.
iPhone will also get some ‘minor’ upgradation in the event, said Jason Snell, editorial director of Macworld magazine. He feels that the iPhone will be upgraded from present 8 gigabyte of storage to 16 GB. In February, Apple also may introduce specifications for external developers to add applications to the iPhone
Other than notebook thing, it’s mobility and music that is expected to take all attention as Steve Jobs will unveil new products at the event. Now, there are also reports on the possible repercussions of Apple’s regular and relentless product launch

If there is a downside to the pace of innovation at Apple Inc., the Fox comedy show "MADtv" captured it recently in a spoof of an iPod advertising campaign featuring the musician Feist. In the segment, a look-alike for the Canadian singer croons about her unhappiness after a $400 iPod purchase at an Apple store. (See video clip.)
"And just after my purchase was done," she sings, "those Apple b- introduced a new one." Source
