For Asia-Pacific, total outsourcing pie in respect to global outsourcing has contributed US$12.8 billion in 2007, that’s a good 30% increase over last year. As per the quarterly index, the global outsourcing contract is worth US$25 billion.

Indian companies have performed well and have accounted for US$4.9 billion (up from US 2.7 billion last year) in 2007. Outsourcing contracts from Australia contributed a stable US$3.5 billion while China registered US$1.9 billion.             

China has gained from a few large telecommunication deals while for India it was more macro.

Arno Franz, partner and managing director for TPI Asia-Pacific says,

The Indian industry in particular has found outsourcing to be a viable tool to improve performance and drive growth in market share," said Franz. "With increased competition among Indian corporations and the potential privatization of public sector organizations in the next few years, we expect to see this level of activity continue through 2008 and beyond.
