One of my friends working in a call center narrated this story to me. He was part of a technical support team for a call center which gives support to its customers for 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. One day my friend received a call from a customer who asked at what hours the call center is open. My friend says, "The number that you dialed is open for 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."

The guy asked, "Is that Eastern or Pacific time?"

My friend, helplessly (and confusingly too, he can’t scream on him, that would be against company policy) just said, "Uh, Pacific."
