NASSCOM, India’s outsourcing body has advised software and outsourcing companies from the country to concentrate on the domestic market. What  it means, it is asking the companies not go gaga over foreign clients only, it should also give a look at its own backyard also. The loss, however, has occurred and when every Indian company was looking west IBM got away with some real juicy heavyweight outsourcing deals (Bharti, Idea, Vodafone Essar and more)

The Roadmap 2012 report from the National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) and consulting firm Everest Group revealed that India’s domestic industry for business process outsourcing (BPO) has increased by 50 per cent in the last five years. Further predicted growth in this area is likely to have a significant impact on the current offshore model, which places India as the main outsourcing destination of choice. News
