Wipro, India’s third largest software company after TCS and Infosys has opened an outsourcing center in Philippines. The center in Cebu is a 45,000 square feet (4180 square meter) facility which can absorb up to 900 people. The center will deliver generic customer service and technical and financial support.

T.K. Kurien, president of Wipro's outsourcing unit said, “The Philippines is one of the largest English-speaking nations with a strong information-technology orientation and a talent pool of 29 million. This is one location that we definitely want to expand our presence in”

Recently as per Tholons, an investment advisory firm, Manila will BE amongst top five outsourcing destinations in the world. It says availability of skilled talents and lower costs as among the advantages offered by destinations as Cebu.
