Business Process Outsourcing News and Information

In India, Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry has always been overshadowed by more successful IT and software industry. But now it seems BPO will outshine IT outsourcing. As per a recent report from Business Standard, against IT’s 28%- BPO’s compound annual growth rate (CAGR) will be 37%. According to a recent prediction by Everest Group and National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom), India’s BPO industry will grow by five times between 2008 and 2012 while clocking revenue of approximately $50 billion.    

The BPO industry has suffered badly (though against the motion debaters will never agree) due to US subprime mortgage crisis, but NASSCOM is still bullish on the sector due to the newer evolving areas like procurement, human resources management and finance and accounting (F&A).
