Wipro Infotech has bagged a $50 million IT operation outsourcing contract from Kishore Biyani-promoted Pantaloon Retail. Pantaloon Retail plans to set up more than 2,500 outlets across India over next five years. Presently it has 1000 outlets in 50 cities. Pantaloon Retail owns retail brands like Big Bazaar (hypermarket chain), Food Bazaar, Depot, Shoe Factory, Brand Factory, Blue Sky, Fashion Station, aLL, Top 10, mBazaar and Star and Sitara and online shopping portal, futurebazaar.com.

Wipro will manage and roll out IT operations across all the outlets of Pantaloon. It will deliver managed security services, infrastructure management and application support services, data centre hosting, operations and management services.
