
Warburg Pincus-controlled WNS Holdings has acquired Aviva Global Services, the UK-based insurance giant’s captive BPO in India and Sri Lanka, for $230 million reports ET. Other players like EXL and 24/7 Customer were also in the race but WNS clinched the deal by paying $230 million.
According to the deal WNS will secure Aviva’s committed $1 billion outsourced work over an eight-year period.
Aviva Global Services has outsourcing and call centers in places like Bangalore, Pune,
Noida, Chennai and Colombo and employs more than 6500 employees. All will now come under the WNS fold.
